A great Valentine’s Ladies Morning was held in Centurion on 11 February.  Ladies came dressed in red and white and everyone participated to make this morning a great success.  The 2015 launch of Woman in Business Achiever of the Year Competition with Ronnie Magic from The Print Factory being the first finalist created great excitement at the function.  Linda Levendag discussed the competition and introduced some of the finalists present who will be at the upcoming gala event on the 18th February held at Hirsch’s Centurion.  With great prizes up for grabs, the benefits of entering this great initiative by Margaret Hirsch,  many took entry forms with them and looked inspired to enter for this year’s competition.

The fun did not stop here…  Known in Centurion for great Valentines Ladies Functions we had Franco Lambiase from The Cake Man who came all the way from Bramley to do a hands on cake decorating demo.  He brought the most beautiful cakes, cup cakes and the ladies loved every moment.  From decorating chocolate cup cakes with icing roses,  chocolate cake with strawberries, chocolate curls and chocolate shards Franco had the ladies attention throughout this, who can resist all this chocolate!

Liesil van Wyk from Miele went out of her way to do a spread of beautiful treats, fresh fruit sticks, mini cheese scones, cheese puffs, scones with cream and jam and so much more.  Belinda Willemse brought beautiful flower arrangements for table décor and each lady received a fresh rose to take home, also sponsored by Belinda.  Lelanie Greef also brought silk roses used as table décor whilst Martie Kruger displayed her lovely Annique products and sponsored a lovely gift.  The lucky draw took place where ladies won some lovely prizes and left feeling spoilt, inspired and motivated till the next successful ladies morning taking place in March.

Domestic workers - the unsung heroes in most homes

Domestic workers are the unsung heroes in most homes

They play a big part in many households across the country and often do not get the needed recognition. Hirsch’s Centurion recently decided to change that around in the area and give credit where credit is due through one of their training sessions on appliance maintenance aimed at domestic workers.

“Hirsch’s does this training in all its stores on a  monthly basis to acknowledge the hard work domestic workers do through what is called the “Domestic Worker of the Month” competition in every store they have across the country,” says Hirsch’s Centurion PRO Joanne Brunette.

WEALTH SUMMIT SPEAKER brings inspiration for SUCCESSFUL NEW YEAR at Hirsch’s Centurion

John Broome, currently a speaker on the Wealth Summit Circuit, addressed the 42 guests at Hirsch’s Centurion’s first Business Networking Breakfast held for 2015.

He spoke on the “9 Steps to Personal and Professional Success” – stressing the importance of having crystal clear goals in 2015. He also explained how our thoughts attract what we desire toward us, and that they must be coupled with action if we are going to see our desires become a reality.

John is the owner of Mind Power, a business dedicated to developing human potential through the use of cutting edge technology, life empowering courses and coaching.

Every person present could take some inspiration and food for thought from the message – irrespective of the many different industries and businesses represented at the event.

Two prizes were up for grabs and following the theme of the morning, were handed to the first two participants who “took action” and came to fetch them from John.

As one of our attendees said: “this message is so needed at the beginning of the year, reminding me to stay focussed and clear on my goals in order to achieve them.”

Afterwards, each person had 30 seconds in which to introduce themselves and their business.  This was followed by some one-on-one networking whilst enjoying a cup of coffee and light snacks.
